Amazing ME DVD Track One
The content of Track One covers:
1. Enhancing children's self esteem
Children will feel good about themselves because they will have
joined in fun and successful activities with Suzy which are designed
at their level of development and ability. Suzy gives children lots
of positive messages about how special they are.
2. Trying to do things for yourself can be fun
Suzy invites viewers to join in activities with her, "giving
things a go" while enjoying activities and songs.
Viewers are invited to participate within the programme and thanked
for joining in and trying.
3. Naming of body parts using correct terms
Research that has studied methods of reducing children's risk of
being sexually abused and how to lessen the impact of sexual abuse
has identified that children who know the correct terms for body
parts are more able to tell someone not to touch that part of their
body and more able to describe what has happened to them if someone
has sexually abused them.
