Parent, Caregiver, Whanau
Information
It is very important to inform parents / caregivers / whanau about
Amazing ME and gain their support for the programme. This is a suggested
format for an information evening.
Aim:
- To inform parents, caregivers, whanau about the Amazing Me series
of the DVD tracks and gain their support.
- To give parents, caregivers, whanau the opportunity to view
the DVD tracks.
- To give parents, caregivers, whanau the opportunity to discuss
the programme.
- To discuss how parents, caregivers, whanau can reinforce Amazing
ME messages.

Introduce parents to each other.
Tell the participants about the Amazing
ME programme. Use the 'Background to Amazing
ME' information sheet. Discuss the 'Messages in
Amazing ME' handout and the
DVD content handout. You may want to make these handouts into
OHPs. |
